| Winemaker's Notes |
Our Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is a blend from carefully selected vineyards in this appellation: Leras Family Vineyards, Peters Vineyard, Sara Lee Vineyard, Windsor Oaks, and Van Noy vineyard. Each vineyard holds its own distinction; and we feel that the fruit is among the best the Russian River Valley has to offer.
The 2007 growing season was one of best in years. This vintage promises to go down in history as providing some of the best wines that have ever been produced.
During the fermentation and aging process, we keep each vineyard/clone separated, cold-soaking the grapes two to three days before adding several different types of yeast, cultured specifically for Pinot Noir. We hand-punch to closely control the temperature, sometimes as often as five or six times a day, and age in François Frères barrels for 11 months before bottling.

| Tasting Notes |
Medium ruby color. Opens with spicy, clove and Bing cherry nose leading to a luscious big cherry, berry, sweet fruit and earthiness with smoky oak on the palate. Acids and tannins are in perfect balance with good structure. There is a long finish that shows big ripe fruit and velvety texture.
